Weekly Update from Rev'd Lizzie

Dear All Saints and St Marys

Tomorrow is the 21st June and would have been our Benefice Service. I have a note in my diary about picnics and sports games which feels like a glimpse into the past and again hopefully soon in the future, however for the meantime as we emerge from lockdown, we are still unable t meet together in that particular way or or worship.

However, things are moving and as I am sure you have seen churches are now allowed to be open for private prayer. We are working together across both churches to see which times and says that would work well and safely. We have a few Risk Assessments to do first and to set the spaces ready again, but hopefully that will be in place shorty. We will keep you all updated as to the first time that we will be open and when.

I have attached the following for this Sundays worship and into the week

Many thanks – at morning prayer the following is said. I find it really helpful and hope you do to.

“The night has passed and the day lies open before us. Let us pray with one heart and mind”

A moment of silence is kept

“As we rejoice in the gift of this new day so may the light of your presence O God set our hearts on fire with love for you, now and forever.”

With my prayers as always and looking forward to seeing those who can on Zoom tomorrow.
