| Excess
Baggage (written by Mary Petrie) |
| |
|
Leave
your mistakes
at
the foot of the cross
then come, and follow Me.
It's dragging you down.
Now you can stand up and be free.
|
|

|
I start
to protest:
"It doesn't seem fair, Lord,
to dump all this rubbish on You",
and I feel embarrased
for inside these bags
are my 'indiscretion' on view.
|
I
turn from my Lord
to the Cross where He dies
to free me from suffering and shame.
Then I let go my grip
on all I held dear
and my hands raise to worship his Name.
